Abstract
일반인과 일반치과환자, 특히 치과교정환자의 측두하악장애 유병율을 알아보고자 2003년 9월부터 2004년 3월까지 사이에 일반인, 교원, 일반치과환자, 치과교정환자 2534명을 대상으로 간이설문조사를 실시하여 측두하악장애 유병율과 증상의 심도를 집단별로 비교 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다.
1. 일반인, 교원, 일반치과환자에서 양성응답자의 수는 성 및 연령별로 차이가 없었고, 증상의 심도도 20대를 제외하고는 차이가 없었다.
2. 치과교정환자와 일반치과흰자에서 양성응답자의 수와 증상의 심도 모두에서 차이가 없었다.
3. 치과교정환자에서는 남성보다 여성에서 양생응답자가 많았고, 특정 교합형태로는 안면 비대칭군, 개방교함군, RCP-ICP 활주군, 과개교합군의 순서로 양성응답자가 많았고 증상도 심한 경향을 보였다.

3.Orthodontic female patients showed more positive responses than males And there was a tendency that the prevalence and the seventy of symptoms decreased in order of the facial asymmetry group, the open bite group, the RCP-ICF sliding group, and the deed bite group.
